Land Rover is one of the best vehicle producers in the world, which mostly manufactures 4×4 sport utility vehicles. The Land Rover has its headquarters in Solihull, West Midlands in England. This company is now operated as Jaguar Land Rover that is owned by Indian automobile giant, Tata Motors.

The name Land Rover refers to both company and a vehicle. The Land Rover sale to the Tata Motors of India happened on 26th March, 2008. The company, Land Rover started as a marquee and then became independent company. It is well known for its four wheel drive capable vehicles production. It is in second position in producing four wheel drive models, next to Jeep.
As far as the Land Rover sales are concerned, it sold more number of four wheel drive vehicles, next to Jeep. The upcoming model from the Land Rover will include a Range Rover, which is scheduled to release in 2012 model year.
After Land Rover sale to Tata Motors, Range Rover will be the first model to introduce in 2012. This will be a two door version of sport model and it will be the first two-door luxury SUV model to hit the US market.
